bBART is rebuilding the trackway in Downtown Oakland during Labor Day Weekend from after the last train on Friday (9/1) till Monday (9/4), no BART trains will run between 19th Street and Fruitvale stations or between West Oakland and Fruitvale stations and Lake Merritt station in the middle of all of this will be closed. Riders from the south on the Warm Springs/So. Fremont, Dublin/Pleasanton, and Oakland Airport lines will be impacted by 20 to 40 minutes. The Richmond-Millbrae line will be running to supplement service to SF since the Dublin/Pleasanton line will be terminating at Fruitvale. BART is using this time to do work that they usually cannot do in the overnight hours. For Lake Merrit Riders: AC Transit routes 18 and 1 will be providing extra service for BART riders. Take route 1 to go to the Fruitvale BART station and route 18 to go to Downtown Oakland BART stations. Service is free for passengers with a BART ticket. For Passengers Going Between 19th Street/Oakland and Fruitvale: There will be free buses in front of each station (19th Street/Oakland and Fruitvale), shuttling people between those two stations.
